Treasure Swipe now available for iOs devices!

Treasure Swipe cover art

For anybody that likes Grizzledude & crew and currently has an iOs device: Workinman just released our first iOs game called Treasure Swipe! I was lead artist on this project and we’re very proud of the game, so I hope will check it out! There’s a lot of cool/fun fantasy elements in common with this and my Imaginary Monsters comics, which I think you will enjoy.

The game takes place in an abandoned haunted castle filled with treasure and monsters. The player tries to steal as much treasure as possible while surviving wave after wave of monsters. If you can defeat the boss at wave 10 of level 1 you will unlock new areas of the castle to explore.

I’m not going to lie to you, we made this a challenging game! But we did just release an update that will help new players get over any early game difficulty. If you’re a fan of fast paced action games or classic retro hardcore games you might enjoy Treasure Swipe.

The game features retina display support for any new iPad users out there too.

Check out our website for more info on the game: http://treasureswipe.com/

Or head directly to the app store to purchase a copy: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/treasure-swipe/id499948972?mt=8

Also follow @TreasureSwipe on twitter!

The game is $.99 and it’s a great deal! I hope you enjoy it!

Support the Zoneplex boardgame on Kickstarter!

Everyone! I’ve been making illustrations for an independent board game called Zoneplex. The game itself is designed by Shelby Cinca and Kenny Jakobsson, and it features additional illustrations by Niklas Ã…kerblad. It would mean a lot to me if anybody that wished to support the project would do so. The game itself is set in an otherworldly science fiction setting (you can read more about it on the Kickstarter page: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/shelbycinca/zoneplex-a-board-game-adventure-in-an-alien-pyrami. We have roughly 6 days remaining to raise an additional $3,000. Please enjoy this very descriptive quote from the Kickstarter to help peak your interest!

“Visually and thematically I wanted a game that didn’t feel like any of the other games out there. I tapped the growing sci-fi universe of my electronic-music persona, Triobelisk, and the long-standing work-in-progress sci-fi novel that I have been collaborating on with my friend Gabriel Baldessin. Influences such as space-opera imagery akin to the epic novels of Iain M. Banks, Frank Herbert’s Dune, Ancient Alien Theories and even Daft Punk came together. This was all thrown into a simmering cauldron with Alejandro Jodorowsky’s L’Incal and H.P. Lovecraft’s images of otherworldly abominations!”

Please support! http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/shelbycinca/zoneplex-a-board-game-adventure-in-an-alien-pyrami

Dungeons and Dragons comic strip!

Hey guys…it’s been a while! I don’t have any new Imaginary Monsters comics yet, but I do have something new to share! I made a pair of webcomic strips for Dungeons and Dragons / Wizards of the Coast! Misfit Monsters!!!

http://www.wizards.com/DnD/Article.aspx?x=dnd/toon/20110624
(if you saw me muttering about a “secret project” on twitter weeks ago I was referring to this)

Please go check it out. It has a similar vibe to Imaginary Monsters but I got to work with some real D&D monsters! There is a second strip too that will probably be getting posted sometime as well. If you like it please post a comment and/or email Wizards of the Coast and let them know! I would really appreciate that. Maybe there could even be more Misfit Monsters strips in the future…

In other news, I’m getting married next weekend! It’s part of why I’ve been a little busy lately and comics have fallen by the wayside. After the honeymoon and other things resolving I should be able to post some new strips by the end of July, or hopefully sooner. Stay tuned, thanks for being patient, and stay cool! You are all the best.

Updates on hold until March

Hey folks, I’m going to be taking a webcomics break until March. I have some paintings I need to make for the upcoming Too Art For TV show, some illustrations to make for an upcoming board game, and Workinman is getting pretty busy too. I don’t want to leave you hanging out in mystery town, and I need one less recurring project for a little bit.

Maybe I’ll be back sooner, or if all else fails check back in March. I’ll try to do some blog posts about the other projects I’m working on in case anybody is interested.

Tenfold thanks!

Comic delays until next week (November 8). King Con

Hey guys, I’ve been running around like crazy getting ready for King Con this weekend, so no new comics until next week. I should be back on track come Monday.

If you’re around the nyc area and want to say “hello”, come by King Con this weekend: http://www.kingconbrooklyn.com/
Their website is a little all over the place, but the important thing to know is I’ll be at the Brooklyn Lyceum Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 7pm. I’ll have some Imaginary Monsters volume 2 books (plus volume 1), some new creepy screen printed shirts, some new gross out prints, and some old favorites as well.

See you on Monday!
